1. In a Gmail compose window, select text that has the formatting you want
2. Right-click and choose Format Copier > Copy Text Format
3. Select the text you want to restyle
4. Right-click and choose Format Copier > Paste Text Format

Your words stay the same. Only the styling (font, size, colour, bold, etc.) changes.

1. Go to chrome://extensions/shortcuts in your browser address bar
2. Find "Format Copier" in the list
3. Set Copy Text Format to Alt+C
4. Set Paste Text Format to Alt+V

Now just select text and press the shortcut. No right-clicking needed.

Font family, font size, text colour, background highlight colour, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and most other span-level CSS styles in the Gmail editor.

Bullet and number list markers are not yet supported, but the content and other formatting within list items still works.

Try these steps in order:

1. Refresh Gmail (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R)
2. Make sure you're on mail.google.com, not an app password page or settings page
3. Make sure you're actively composing or replying to a message in rich-text mode (not plain text)
4. Check that the extension is enabled at chrome://extensions

Make sure you have text selected inside a Gmail compose window before using the copy or paste command. Format Copier only works on selected text within the Gmail editor, not in other parts of the page (subject line, search bar, etc.).

1. Click the Format Copier icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the popup
2. Enter the email address you used when you subscribed
3. Click save - this links your payment to your current browser profile

This usually happens when Chrome can't automatically detect your email, for example if you're not signed into Chrome or are using a different profile.

Some extensions that modify Gmail's editor (such as Grammarly, Boomerang, Streak, or other formatting tools) can interfere with Format Copier. Try temporarily disabling them one at a time at chrome://extensions to identify the conflict.

Some Workspace administrators restrict Chrome extension permissions. If the right-click menu doesn't appear, ask your IT administrator whether extensions are allowed to access mail.google.com. Format Copier requires content script access to the Gmail compose window.
